Abstract

The study aimed to identify the determinants of the selection of young people for athletic walking athletes from the point of view of coaches, and for this, we conducted a descriptive study of the survey method, conducted on a group of specialized coaches in order to know the reality of selection tests in sports walking, and to achieve it we studied a sample of 60 trainers and specialists who are active at different levels, in various competitions, chosen at random, and we divided a questionnaire made up of two axes, after having subjected them to scientific procedures of honesty and consistency, Then it was discharged and statistically processed using statistical equations (mean - standard deviation - good match test Kay), and after discussing the results we concluded thatthe tests applied are not uniform among coaches in athletic walking.
