The Journal of sport science technology and physical activities is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal devoted to publishing original research studies in the fields of sports sciences, physical education, and motor activity.

It is issued biannually by the Institute of Physical and Sports Education at Abdelhamid Ibn Badis University of Mostaganem, Algeria.

The journal was first launched in 1995 under the title Journal of Physical and Sports Culture by the Higher School for Physical and Sports Education Teachers, which released only two issues before discontinuation12

 The International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) was obtained from the National Library of Algeria in 2002.

Following several technical and administrative interruptions, the journal resumed publication in 2004, again in 2005, and after another technical pause, it was reissued in 2009. Since then, it has been published regularly.

From 2009 to 2017, the journal appeared annually, and in 2018 its publication frequency doubled to two issues per year (June and December), a rhythm maintained consistently to the present day.

The journal aims to be a distinguished academic forum that brings together national and international scholars from various academic and research institutions, working in the fields of sports sciences, physical education, movement sciences, and sports technologies, thereby contributing to the scientific and technological advancement of these vital disciplines.

Aims and Scope :

The main goal of the journal is to contribute to the development of scientific research in the field of sciences and technologies of physical and sports activities, by promoting original studies that integrate theoretical and practical approaches, and by providing an academic platform for discussion among professors, researchers, and postgraduate students.

The journal covers a wide range of topics, including:

  • Sciences and technologies of physical and sports activities;
  • Sports training and movement sciences;
  • Exercise physiology;
  • Sports psychology and sociology;
  • Physical and sports education;
  • Modern technologies in the sports field;
