Abstract

In the teaching of physical education and sport in Morocco, there is only one regional referential of performances and athletic bilities achieved in non selected schools, on the basis of statistical and methodological standards of large samples (oriental region). This reality makes it difficult to assess correctly the real possibilities of the pupil in other regions of Morocco, given the geographic, socio-cultural and physical practices of each of them. Adding to this, the fact that different age groups are often found in the same classroom.
In order to get closer to the actual conditions of the students’ profile from other regions, the objective of this study was to develop an other regional referential of the region of Ouarzazate showing the same characteristics as those of the Eastern region.
2651 students of both genders aged between 13 years and 18 years old and above, participated in this study. The benchmarks were conducted at three motion skills levels and two sport activities, on the basis of at least 200 observations per age interval and gender; This, in order to allow the teacher to accurately estimate the students’ potential in this region and to focus efficiently on his pedagogical or sports works.
