Abstract

The study aimed to identify the contribution of the mental training program in improving the level of Shooting performance skills in basket-ball, has formed a sample of the study (20) players from the team Olympique City Relizane Basketball cadet, has the researcher used the experimental method because of the relevance of the nature of this study and in a manner experimental and
control groups, the Department of the researcher to two sets of players (10) players per group.The experimental group that was applied as the training program and mental skills, and the control group that was applied as skills training program only.existence of differences statistically significant between the two measures of tribal and post the experimental group in the level of
performance skills to Shooting the front and side and under the basket and free throw, also showed the presence of statistically significant differences between the measurements of tribal and post the experimental group in the improvement of mental skills listed in the experiment and the results show the existence of significant differences between members of two groups of experimental and the control of the measurement dimensional to Shooting and mental skills, and in favor of the experimental group used the program of mental training.
The researcher recommended using a program of mental training with skills training in the teaching shooting skill because of its importance in raising the level of performance skills.
