Self-concept and its relationship to some basic psychological skills and basketball with the students of the Faculty of Physical Education

The study aimed to identify the level of self-concept among students of the Faculty of Physical Education and to identify the relationship between self-concept of the masters and skills psychological students of the Faculty of Physical Education and to identify the relationship between self-concept of the masters and the level of performance of some basic skills basketball with
students of the Faculty of Physical Education. The researchers hypothesized:
- There is no significant relationship between the moral self-concept and psychological skills of students of the Faculty of Physical Education.
- There are no significant differences between the moral self-concept of the masters and the level of performance of some of the basic basketball skills to the students of the Faculty of Physical Education.
The researchers used the descriptive manner relations relational and study sample consisted of 60 students from the first stage in the Faculty of Physical Education at the University of Tikrit for the academic year 2012-2013, the researchers used a means of statistical (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, simple correlation coefficient of Pearson, the equation Spearman Brown ).
The researchers concluded:
- Enjoy a sample with a high level of self-concept and psychological skills.
- There is a positive correlation between self-concept and psychological skills.
- There is a high correlation between self-concept and some basketball skills.
The researchers recommended that:
- Orientation seminars and extention informing students of the self-concept.
- The establishment of developmental courses for psychological and skills
development through continuing psychological preparation for students of Physical Education.
- Undertake further studies on time management for physical education students with psychological variables and other practical lessons.
