Abstract

:
We went in our study to the subject of emotional intelligence and its relationship to school Adaptation, which aimed to detect whether there was a relationship between emotional intelligence and school Adaptation to the second year secondary pupils.
Research questions: General question:
Is there a correlation between emotional intelligence and school Adaptation?
Sub-questions:
1 - Is there a correlation between emotional intelligence and psychological Adaptation to the second year secondary pupils?
2 - Is there a correlation between emotional intelligence and social Adaptation to the second year secondary pupils?
3 - Are there Statistically significant differences between the two sexes in emotional intelligence?
4 - Are there Statistically significant differences between the two sexes in school Adaptation?
Objectives of the study:
- To identify whether there was a relationship between emotional intelligence and school Adaptation.
- To identify the differences between the two sexes in the relationship between emotional intelligence and school Adaptation.
Research Methodology: A Descriptive approach the correlation was adopted because it is more suited to the subject of the study.
The study sample:
The study sample consisted of 150 male and female pupils in the second year of secondary, the sample has been tested.........
Search Tools:
Using the measure of Emotional Intelligence and the measure of school Adaptation.
Search Results:
- There is a correlation between emotional intelligence and psychological Adaptation.
- There is a correlation between emotional intelligence and social Adaptation.
- There are no statistically significant differences in emotional intelligence between the two sexes.
- There are no statistically significant differences in school adaptation between the two sexes.
Thus the general result:
There is a positive correlation between emotional intelligence and school adaptation. But it’s weak
