Abstract

This experimental study aimed to compare the effects small-sided games (SSG) and high-intensity interval train (HIIT) on the development of maximal aerobic speed (MA The participants were 24 U21 football players from the We Athlétique Tlemcen club, competing in the professioreserve Ligue 1. The research sample was divided intogroups: a HIIT group and an SSG group. After implemen the training program, statistical analysis was carried out comparing the pre- and post-test results of each group.
findings showed a notable improvement in maximal aerospeed (MAS) in both groups. However, no signific differences were found between the two groups (SSG HIIT) regarding the improvement in MAS
