Abstract

This study aims to identify the relationship between somatotypes and offensive skills of football attackers under the age of 19, the study was applied on 44 attackers in a period of 4 months, We adopted the descriptive approach to fit the nature of the study ; We used Heath Carter's anthropometric somatotype evaluation form, dribbling and shooting tests, and the statistical methods of arithmetic average, standard deviation and Pearson ‘s correlation coefficient. Based on the above, it has been shown that there is a correlation between the components of the somatotype and the dribbling /shooting tests, and that the muscular skinny is prevalent, so the trainers must give great importance in the selection process in order to achieve high-level results.
