Abstract

The study aims to identify the interactive profile of middle school pupils and determine the differences between pupil’s behaviors of 1st year middle school and those of 4th year, for this purpose, we supposed that PSE improve inter-pupils interactions, increase positive interactive behaviors and decrease negative interactive behaviors between 1st and 4th middle school year. And to verify this hypothesis, the study based on a descriptive method took place with an intentional sample composed of 35 pupils divided into two groups (1st, and 4th year); these two groups were observed during two lessons using an observation grid constructed for this purpose. The comparison of the results obtained shows differences between the two groups, which confirms our hypothesis. We conclude that pupils start more negative when they enter middle school, but they end more positive when they leave, always preserving some negative aspects, such a change would not have happened without the nature of the discipline which involves and enhances interactions. On this basis, we recommend that PSE teachers anticipate interactive behaviors of their pupils to remedy them through appropriate situations
