This study aims to determine the level of psychological hardness among the students of « the Institute of Science and Technics of physical activities and sports , Msila university » according to the variables of (age, level of study, specialization.) To achieve the objectives of the study, was applied Mukhaimar scale (2011), after the confirmation of its scientific weight (validity) , which consists of three indicators: commitment, control, and challenge and includes 47 expressions.
The descriptive study was conducted on a stratified random sample of (242) students carrying their studies regularly through the college season: 2012/2013 in « the Institute of Science and Technics of physical activities and sports , Msila university”.
Using arithmetic averages and standard deviations, and T-test, and the variance analysis Test for the analysis of the sample responses, and this through the use of statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) was reached the following:
- The level of psychological hardness among the students of « the Institute of Science and Techniques of physical activities and sports , M’sila university » is High, as are the indicators of commitment and challenge, while the results showed that ;the level of control among the study sample is average, and the results indicated also the presence of a statistically significant differences between students in psychological hardness; due to the variable of age and in favor of older, but they did not report any statistically significant differences between students, at the school level nor in the specialty, and in the light of what was reached, the researcher recommends the development of students' psychological hardness to face stressful life events, particularly control.
