The impact of media on the behavior of children with special needs: an applied study

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the impact of the media on the behavior of children with special needs, using survey and a comparative methods, and the tools were questionnaire , Intensive discussion sessions, The study sample was 40 children, and a random sample of five mothers of children, The theory was social construction of technology, The results of the study proved the validity of the first hypothesis that there are differences of statistical significance between the type of institution (government - private) and the exposure of children to media, While the results of the study proved the validity of the second hypothesis that there are differences of statistical significance between the type of institution (government - private) and the preference of children to reading, The validity of the hypothesis that there are statistically significant differences between the type of institution (governmental - private), the preference of children for the audio media, and the validity of the hypothesis that there are statistically significant differences between gender and the preference of children for media, The results of the study also confirmed that there are no statistically significant differences between the type of institution (government - private) and children's awareness of the nature of the characters presented to them through media
