Abstract

This study aims firstly, to identify some morphotypes in the elite category of U20 football in Algeria and on the other hand, detection of level differences game and position held at each compartments. We have apply in the first case that a significant difference exists between the positions held for each compartment and the type of morphotype. Our second hypothesis postulates that no  ignificant difference was observed between the top players and the second division.
To confirm or deny our assumptions, U20 129 football players participated voluntarily in the experiment. This sample randomly taken across 07 Division 1 clubs who participate in the U20 Championship in the 2011/2012 season.
A descriptive analysis was used to meet the requirement of this study. The different results obtained through the various Anthropometric measurements (height, weight, BMI) as well as analyzes of morphotypes (mesomorph, endomorph, ectomorph) allowed us to explore the hypothesis of our research.
The different results show firstly, that the morphotype of players of that age group is moving toward the liquid crystal and other, no significant differences were observed between the different positions in connection with game the index of muscle mass as well as the various existing morphotypes. To this end, we want the experts in the field rely upon selection and detection of the various
players morphological Anthropometric measures and to determine the appropriate position for each player
