Abstract

The article aimed to identify indicators to measure the credibility of news on social networking sites, which have changed considering the characteristics of these sites, which are characterized by speed, interaction, and continuous updating of information. As a journalist, without taking into account the media laws that dictate the work of the profession, the researcher used an induction method, through which the details of the subject were collected from specialized literature, which are mostly foreign.

The article reached results, the most important of which is providing indicators to measure credibility in social media sites, which included, the credibility of the source Motivation search, user behavior, selection of headlines, solutions have also been proposed to tackle false news, such as using fact database monitoring software and techniques, measuring platform activity and conducting credit assessment based on the results of various data analyzes in the database, then extracting meaningful keywords from social media
