Abstract
In this research paper, we review the chronological reading of social capital from its inception as a concept and then theory until it is arrival in the virtual space, the vision of social capital through relationships through modern technology means such as social networking sites that imposed changes on the structure of social relations and on the process of communication between individuals And what it has done in terms of creating, accumulating or limiting social capital, based on the theoretical knowledge foundation about its origin, its most prominent definitions, theoretical approaches, its measurement approach in society, the role it plays in economic and social development, and its transition from a realistic model to The default mode thanks to technology and the Internet, so it is based on social relations as resources for individuals and society in general, and is based on structural components that enter into the composition of relations, and symbolic components of moral value such as trust, cooperation, solidarity and belonging.
