Legal legislation as a mechanism to reduce hate speech on social networking sites: a reading of the Algerian constitution, the media law and the penal code

this scientific intervention examines one of the phenomena that began to grow through social networking sites by working to resuscitate the idea of fanaticism and hate speech, which caused a crisis of trust in the Other, and to increase the sense of the virtual ego within the communication sites and direct the media discourse towards serving the private interest, which is inconsistent with the main goal for which the traditional and modern media were created. Therefore, legislative and legal texts come as a way to try to control media practice by reading these texts that fight and call for renunciation of hate speech in the new media
