By exposing contemporary mechanisms and methods for enacting this approach in the digital environment, our study examines the reality of political actors using social media sites to embody participatory democracy. It accomplishes this by adopting the descriptive approach to analysis of the study's subject and using the tool of identification and observation to collect information needed to analyze and interpret the field study's findings.
Due to the characteristics of these new media, like speed and interaction with recipients, as well as the fact that they effectively contribute to an exemplar of the principles of participatory democracy, we concluded in this paper that political actors strive to embody the method of participatory democracy through various methods through social networking sites.
