Risk communication is one of the relatively recent branches in the field of communication, and it includes many activities, including forecasting potential problems and planning to deal with them and get out of them with the least possible losses. Organizations use always communication to confront crises and disasters, using and technological means to develop their capabilities, to explore changes in the complex environment, to identify risk indicators and to prepare to confront them.
The current study falls within the case studies by analyzing two global models in the field of risk communication: the Swiss model and the Canadian model. This study aims to highlight the effective role of new media in avoiding risks and raising awareness of their occurrence. We will try to answer the following problem: What is the role of information technology applications in the strategic management of health risks? What is the Canadian and Swiss model of health risk management?
