Abstract

This study attempted to project the characteristics and communication abilities on the official page of the Algerian Ministry of Health on Facebook, as it is the most important social media site used in Algeria, the aim was to monitor and track the extent of its contribution to instilling and promoting a health awareness culture, based on the health awareness contents that was published on its page during the months of September and October from 2021, relying on the analytical survey method by analyzing the content of a sample of awareness publications on this page as well.

Accordingly, the study confirms the power of communication offered by the Ministry’s Health page in marketing public health issues on the appropriate time, by publishing a significant amount of health awareness information and knowledge all the time, reaching to 73% from all other posts, and thus it contributes to raising the level of Preventive health awareness among the public of users.
