Values in human and social research A descriptive analytical study of values research in ICS in Algeria

The concept of values occupies a good position in scientific research in the Arab world, whether in the form of doctoral dissertations or peer-reviewed scientific articles. This study aims to describe and analyze the nature of the study of values in terms of considering it as an independent or dependent variable, in addition to knowing the extent of dealing with values between the specialization of informaion and communication sciences (ICS) and the rest of the sciences that fall under the name of humanities and social sciences. Our choice is due to the fact that although information and communication sciences are relatively new compared to other sciences, we have noticed a great interest in values. To the extent that a theory emerged for one of the professors of the specialty that takes values as its main theme in its relationship with media and communication, it is called "value determinism".
