New digital media and its role in changing the values of social capital (Contemporary exploratory study of the effects of digital media from the perspective of Algerian youth)

Digital media and its modern media is a modern technological wave that affected many fields and changed many fields, whether social or economic. Therefore, this research aimed to identify the most important values of social capital and the most important changes that were introduced through digital media. The descriptive approach was relied upon and the questionnaire was designed, which was applied to an intentional sample of 60 individuals. to collect information.It has been reached that the most important media affecting the values of social capital among Algerian youth are Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram. The contribution of the latter to changing the network of social relations among Algerian youth in a more modern and digital way, as these media do not change feelings of national belonging to feelings of national alienation Rather, it confines it to the aspect of reality and weakly only, in addition to changing the concept of trust, and the latter leads to entertainment and getting rid of pressures, given that the youth stage is a stage full of pressures and responsibilities.
