Abstract

The study is concerned with analyzing the value dimensions of the content of CNN arabic channel's media coverage of the war on Gaza, aiming to identify the values contained in this coverage, based on the value determinism theory, which assumes that values are a standard for the media. The study follows a descriptive analytical approach.  the researcher relied on a content analysis tool, which was applied to a purposive sample of 18 individuals, extracted from a research community comprising 38 units during August 2025. The study revealed the dominance of relational values by 61.48% in CNN arabic's media coverage. However, the channel's editorial policy was not neutral according to the positivist perspective, instead it revealed the reproduction of a discourse that reflects political orientations aligning with the interests of its governments, which showed a value conflict between the Palestinian liberation vision and Western media hegemony.
