The Imperative of activating E-Commerce of Books for the Post-Covid19 pandemic in Algeria

The aim of this article is to highlight the positive return of the digital transformation of the cultural economy and the book industry to confront the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the Algerian economy in general and the book trade in particular, that digitization in Algeria was one of the future bets of the new economic policy before the pandemic, as global statistics showed that The digital transformation in the publishing sector and the book industry and the transition to e-trade for books contributed to overcoming the pandemic crisis and even doubled in some countries the returns of the cultural economy than it was before the crisis, and given the critical situation of the book trade in Algeria; Our study concluded with a set of priority suggestions in the near term, foremost among which is accelerating the improvement of the quality of Internet services in Algeria and updating the legal texts related to the book industry and its trade, then recognizing the necessity of digital transition to the book trade as a solution to the problems of distribution and sale in the book industry and selling circles according to traditional practices.
