This study investigates cultural communication in digital translation environments, with particular attention to the human translator’s role as a cultural mediator amid rapid technological advancement. Adopting a quantitative research design, data were collected through a five-dimensional questionnaire administered to professional translators and translation students. Statistical analysis using SPSS (v29) revealed a moderate to high awareness of the cultural dimension of translation, as well as statistically significant differences related to participants’ experience and educational background. Despite the increasing reliance on AI-based and machine translation tools, the findings confirm that human translators continue to play a vital role in ensuring culturally appropriate translation. The study highlights the need for integrated cultural and technological training to enhance translators’ adaptability in digital translation contexts
