The Social Issues in the Electronic journalism in Palestine. "A Comparative Analytical Study"

Abstract

This study aims to identify the nature of social issues dealt with by the websites of electronic newspapers and to identify the extent of interest of the websites of daily Palestinian newspapers in social issues. The study also seeks to identify the most important topics they dealt with, their sources, the geographical scope of social issues, the persuasive methods, the journalistic forms used in them, and the elements of salience that accompanied social issues. This descriptive study used the survey method within whose framework content analysis was drawn upon, and the method of reciprocal relationships, and in its framework methodical comparison was conducted. The researcher used the study tools of content analysis questionnaire and drew upon the Agenda Setting theory. The researcher chose Al-Hayat Al-Jadida newspaper website and Felesteen newspaper website as the study sample, during the time period from 1/1/2020 to 31/12/2021. The sample was selected using the comprehensive survey method, with a total of (550) journalistic materials used for analysis.
