This study aims to know the role of social networks in creating political awareness of information and communication students at the university of Setif, during the 2019 presidential election campaign, focusing on Master 2 students.
In this study, the researcher used the survey method, using a questionnaire tool distributed randomly to 50 students, and in the light of the analysis of the results using the statistical program (ibm spss statistics base 22), the results showed that there is a relationship between the use of social networks during election campaigns and the political awareness of information students and Communication at the University of Setif, the study also showed the existence of a statistically significant effect between interaction through social networks and political awareness of students, because interaction enhances the decision-making process of many students, the majority of students, according to the results of the study, have awareness as a result of interaction on social networks.
