Media coverage of the corona epidemic in the Algerian press An analytical study of a sample of Al-Shorouk daily newspaper

Abstract

The study aims to identify how the of the Algerian daily newspaper Al-Shorouk dealt with the corona during epidemic, through the analysis of the newspaper's issues for the month of march 2020, based on the qualitative analysis of the categories of form and content, relying on the content analysis tool, and the use of the survey method, the results of the study found that there is a focus on the press release in presenting the corona epidemic, and that the reason behind the spread of the corona epidemic is the recklessness of citizens, as well as the focus on the various groups active in the epidemic, and the study also found the professionalism of Al-Shorouk daily newspaper in addressing the corona epidemic by relying on the value of selfishness.
