Abstract

This study aims to investigate the different mediation strategies (active mediation strategy, participation mediation strategy, restriction mediation strategy and technical mediation strategy) used by Algerian parents in order to mediate their young adolescent (12-15 years old) use of the Internet.

Based on an available sample of 72 individuals, and the use of the questionnaire tool and the application of the Likert scale, the study concluded that:

Algerian parents use the active mediation strategy with a very high degree of use, as well as the use of the restrictive mediation strategy with a high degree of use, which allows flexibility in mediating and dealing with children in their use of the Internet.
