This article addresses the topic of digital media literacy within the context of technological developments in media and communication. Its aim is to develop strategies for educating young people on the responsible use of digital communication tools, mitigating their risks, and equipping them with tools and skills organically linked to the digital environment. It also seeks to disseminate principles and guidelines that guide them toward acquiring a positive critical sense, thus preventing the passive consumption of digital content. Furthermore, it aims to fortify them and build their resilience, enabling them to understand, engage with, produce, and share digital content, particularly in countries experiencing a digital divide. Therefore, digital media literacy is not an intellectual luxury but a pressing issue, especially in the current phase the Arab region is undergoing, having experienced profound societal changes since the Arab Spring of 2011.
