Health awareness of the importance of polio vaccination via Facebook: an analytical study of the page of paediatrician and new-born Dr. Kada Zair Amina

Résumé

The study aimed to identify how the page of paediatrician and new-born Dr. Kada Zair Amina via Facebook contributed to health awareness about polio vaccination importance, where the analytical description method as well as the content analysis tool was relied on in order to obtain data and information from an intentional sample consisting of 28 posts allocated by the page for this vaccine.

The study reached a number of results, the most important of which are the following:

Misinformation related to vaccine ranked first at 36.67% followed by Vaccine schedules and the importance of vaccination  in second place at 26.67% for the topics covered by the page.

Warning  ranked first at 37.93%, followed by Guiding  in second place at 24.14% for the target of the page's posts .

Parents were generally targeted in 53.57 % of the posts.

Emotional appeals ranked first at 47.06%  followed by rational appeals in second place at 32.35% and  fear appeals ranked third at 20.59%
