Employing the metaverse in Arab drama from the point of view of academic elites and those in Communicators with the Arab Republic of Egypt "A prospective study for the period from 2024 to 2034"

The study aimed to identify the future of employing the metaverse in Arab drama from the perspective of academic elites and communication practitioners in the Arab Republic of Egypt. This study belongs to foresight studies that rely on survey methodology. The purposive sample consisted of 200 respondents from academic elites and communication practitioners in the Arab Republic of Egypt. A total of 38 forms were excluded for being unsuitable for analysis, resulting in an actual sample of 162 respondents. The most important findings of the study were as follows: respondents showed a moderate optimism towards the employment of the metaverse in Arab drama, with expectations for rapid growth and wide dissemination of the technology, but with challenges in infrastructure and expertise. Meanwhile, they expressed pessimism regarding the ability to effectively utilize the metaverse. They preferred the optimistic scenario and the challenges of the reference scenario compared to their general rejection of the pessimistic scenario.
