Abstract

Today's complex competitive environment imposes on economic institutions the necessity to rely on a vast number of strategies that enable them to achieve their various objectives, especially in terms of profit-making and meeting customer needs. On the other hand, it provides them with ways to prepare for potential crises and methods to confront them appropriately, particularly since such economic entities are greatly affected by surrounding political, social, cultural, and competitive factors that may negatively impact them, hindering their growth and development. From this perspective, regardless of the cause of the crisis, the leadership of an institution is required in such situations to anticipate it before it occurs and be prepared to confront it swiftly through a competent and experienced team in what is known today as 'crisis management,' including the associated processes of communication, public relations, and effective engagement with the media
