Abstract

The news coverage of crises mean that this material is subject to a number of alternative definitions and conflicting viewpoints at certain times. In this case, the event will reach the state of ‘crises’ which could be either worthy of coverage or not. Moreover, this material would face a number of ideological and political obstacles affecting the working environment and the nature of the media coverage. It is possible to state that there are a number of obstacles within the pursuits of media related to their coverage of the political crises and facts related to the crises itself. In this media climate, the Arabic news satellite channels were by no means remote from covering the 25th January 2011 Egypt Revolution. The researcher tries showing the importance of new media and their applications in the news coverage of Al Arabiya Channel of the 25 January crisis in Egypt
