Abstract

The role of the Saudi electronic press in shaping the knowledge and attitudes of university youth towards the phenomenon of terrorism and terrorist organizations in the Arab region A field study by: Magdy eldagher Associate Professor of Information and Communication Technology Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, Riyadh Study Summary: The present study aims at identifying the role of electronic journalism in raising the level of awareness of Saudi youth about the concept of terrorism and its types and forms, terrorist organizations and the organization of the state. The study found that most of the respondents regularly use Saudi electronic newspapers, and the Saudi daily Saba topped the newspapers in terms of exposure and source of information on terrorism and terrorist organizations. The results of development and Vision 2030 have been at the forefront of current issues in the Kingdom. The results proved that there are statistically significant differences in the levels of knowledge of terrorism issues and organizations among respondents according to the demographic variables: (Gender in favor of males, age group in favor of low age group, and place of residence for Riyadh city, And monthly income in favor of low monthly income,..)
