Abstract

This research paper aims at studying the role that Facebook news pages play in enrivhing and activating the algerian the political debate on the issue of the algerian constitutinal amendment 2020، which is one of the main issues that came within the progrm of the president of the republic.

Based on a field study of a sample of a new page users uuon facebook، which consisted of 105 respondents and using the descriptive approach within its methodological framework، the study concluded with a set of results، the most important of wgich is that facebook remains a virtual space that contributes to increasing algerian political knowledge and political awarness in algerian public affairs related issues only، using jurgen habermas criteria of the debte etiquette.
