Abstract
In this study, we discover the main role played by public relations in the field of tourism to carry out the objectives of tourism development in Algeria.. But its development is based largely on the activities of public relations which is a link in the tourism process. It contributes to the provision of tourist information and the dissemination of tourism awareness to the public through the preparation of preventive programs and treatment programs to achieve the objectives of tourism development in Algeria. It is still facing several obstacles despite the efforts to development tourism. The study aims to refer to the concept of public relations in the field of tourism, it's functions and components, the stages of designing public relations programs, as well as, determining the causes of delayed tourism development in Algeria. In addition, proposing effective mechanisms to develop public relations in tourism to achieve tourism development goals in Algeria.
