Media symbolism and its role in shaping collective awareness to prevent corona virus

Abstract

This study aims to highlight the role of the visual media in dealing with the Corona Virus crisis, so that we find that the media news abstract from the image remains minor unless it is accompanied by a picture. The image bears a clear meaning that is explained logically by the simplicity on it, so we find that social awareness of the danger of the virus and ways to prevent it and the emergence of campaigns of cooperation, solidarity, sterilization and cleaning spread in different areas between inside and outside the country is only evidence of the media image that left an impact on the hearts of individuals and their sense of responsibility As a result, the manifestations of collective conscience, social awareness, and organic and mechanical solidarity appeared, which were translated into the same and similar behaviors of individuals despite their different beliefs, cultures, environments and languages
