Community Engagement as a Means to Enhance Algerian Youth Participation in Volunteer Work: A Field Study of a Sample of Algerian Charitable Associations

The study aimed to identify the communication methods employed by charitable associations and their impact on the dissemination of volunteerism among youth. The study employed a descriptive-analytical methodology, utilizing interviews and questionnaires distributed to a sample of volunteers in the studied associations, with a total vocabulary size of 100 words. The research findings revealed the following:
The findings revealed that traditional communication methods such as personal communication and advertisements were predominantly used, with limited use of modern methods due to cost. The type of communication medium influenced the recruitment process, and associations called for media presence to raise awareness. Internal communication within associations was dominant, and communication barriers affected public awareness of the activities performed. Lack of awareness of the importance of volunteer work, limited leisure time, and varying levels of interest were factors influencing youth engagement
