Abstract
Considering the importance of formation and training in activating the pedagogical practice of the university professor, and improving the formative action at the university level, especially among newly recruited professors, this contribution came as a conceptual approach to the topic of formation and training through research in the theoretical heritage and specialized literature that formed the reference framework for the concept of formation, either at the level of theoritical processing or the level of field practice, by highlighting the conceptual dimension of the subject of formation and its philosophical premises, as well as the most important recent trends that had an important role in determining the basic dimensions of the logic of formation and training, which contributed to the adoption of a number of strategies that can be considered one of the most important mechanisms of formative and training practice.
