Returning to Haifa: From narrative text to Film "A Study in Novel Films"
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study is concerned with the mechanisms of quoting the literary text from the novel to the cinema, and the methods of technical transfer that affect the fictional text after its quotation to the cinematic film, by researching the difference between the style of the novel and the film, and then discovering the mechanisms of this conversion from the narrative mode to the presentation format.
In this research, the novel "A Return to Haifa" by "Ghassan Kanafani" was addressed and how it was converted into a movie through two experiments, the first with the same title, and the second entitled "The Remaining".
