Plagiarism Screening

All manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of Social Communication (IJSC) are screened for textual similarity using recognized plagiarism detection software before entering the peer review process. This screening is intended to ensure the originality of submitted work and to protect the integrity of scholarly publishing.

Authors are required to submit original manuscripts and to acknowledge appropriately the work of others through accurate citation and referencing. Any form of plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data misappropriation, or inappropriate citation practices is considered a serious breach of publication ethics.

When significant similarity or evidence of academic misconduct is identified, the Editorial Office may request clarification or revision from the authors. Manuscripts containing unacceptable levels of similarity or confirmed cases of plagiarism will be rejected. If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the journal may publish a correction, issue an editorial expression of concern, retract the article, or take any other action deemed appropriate in accordance with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
