Modern public relations aims to give this function the status it deserves by removing it from the narrow perception that confines its practitioners in some technical roles, to a more open view in which it sees through a strategic view as philosophy that different organizations follow. In this context, the United Nations has adopted this view and has sought, through its various organizations and programs, to embody the principles of modern public relations, whether in terms of normal job practices, or during exceptional situations.
