Governance of investment in higher education as a capacity for innovation and the strength of the knowledge economy for emerging countries: a comparative study

Abstract

The knowledge economy roadmap requires a future outlook in order to create diversified economies, in terms of investing in education as a competitive ability by training suitable workers with the necessary skill set. This study aims to show that higher education, especially universities, constitutes the heart of the new education. In order to reach satisfactory results, we used the inferential approach. The following results have been reached: It is noted through all experiences that these emerging countries have made efforts in developing the information infrastructure and investing in education. In the light of these results, the study suggests: Access to the knowledge economy requires countries to remove all unnecessary restrictions, traditional laws, customs and cultures that limit development.
